Georgia Powell and Liza Shapiro met in 2012 working at the Redfern Gallery in London. They identified a shared interest in providing a focused approach to the management and care of art collections based on their experience working with galleries, museums and collectors. They recognized that collectors needed support to fully realize their potential as custodians and patrons.

Their discussions and subsequent experience lead them to launch CURA Art in 2019. Powell and Shapiro speak regularly on the subject of collecting and collections management at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Christie’s Education and at international art fairs.

As a small team we rely on the expertise and experience of many trusted colleagues. We can expand the team to suit the scope and scale of any project.
